The 2009 Annual Kapiti Food Fair showcases local food products.
Local cheese, olive oil, honey products, beer, wine, chocolate, cakes and confectionary, fudge, biscuits, bread, processed food, and fresh produce and many more will take centre stage.
 
Food and drink stalls will abound on the day.
Seize the opportunity to be there. Be seen. Be tasted. Be talked about.
 
Celebrity chefs will demonstrate their skill in the Degustation Demonstration.
Four chefs will cook a course each in the Fabulous Feast. Tickets for the Fabulous Feast are on sale now. 
 
Beer and wine sales and tasting will be available, and talks delivered by experts in the field of oenology and malt. Tickets for these are also now on sale.
 
Visitors will also be entertained with performances from local community groups.

Stall holder Information and Terms and Conditions
 
  • Stallholders can be individuals/community groups or business/commercial.
  • The cut off date to register a stall site is Sunday 15 November 2009.
  • The size of a single stall is 4m by 4m.
  • There are two types of stalls: indoor and outdoor.
  • The indoor stalls are inside the classrooms where electricity is available at no additional charge.
  • Two desks and chairs are also provided for each stall at no additional charge.
  •  In the event of any damage and/or loss of the desks and chairs provided, the stallholder will be charged directly for any repairs and/or replacement costs.
  • For indoor stalls, food can be prepared outdoor and brought inside for sale at the food stall.
  • The outdoor stalls are for stallholders to set up their own gazebos and provide their own desks and chairs. There will be no electricity available for outdoor stalls.
  • It is the responsibility of each stallholder to provide the necessary equipments for their stall, and to decorate their stall to attract patronage.
  • You are encouraged to decorate your stall in line with Kapiti Food Fair 2009’s Christmas theme.
  •  Stalls must be set up between 8am and 10am on Saturday 5 December, and remove between 4pm and 6pm that evening.
  • It is the responsibility of each stallholder to remove stall rubbish from their site at the conclusion of the event. Stallholders failing to do so may be charged a fee to assist with rubbish removal costs.
  • All stallholders are responsible for all cash handled at their site during the course of the event. This includes ensuring that they have an adequate float.
  • Kapiti Coast District Council requires any temporary food stall operators in fundraising and special events to obtain a Food Stall Health Certificate. Please apply to Kapiti Coast District Council and provide a copy of the Certificate to the event organiser prior to the event. See KCDC link below.
  • All stallholders selling food at Kapiti Food Fair must take all necessary precautions to keep food safe, especially to reduce food contamination and help prevent food poisoning. This involves wearing hats, gloves, washing hands, storing food at right temperature, covering food once cooked etc. 
  • All food stalls at the event may be subject to inspection by Kapiti Coast District Council health officials.
  • Stallholders will take all reasonable steps to provide a safe environment and to take all steps to ensure their own and other’s safety. The organiser will not be responsible for any injury incurred to stallholders or any other person as a consequence of stallholder activities.
  • All hazards identified by the stallholder at Kapiti Food Fair 2009 must be reported to the organiser so that appropriate action may be taken. Any acts or omissions by the stallholder, which endanger the health and safety of any person/s, may result in removal from the event.
  • All cheques for stall booking should be made payable to PartyPerfect and posted with the Stall Booking Registration Form to: Tony Gan / Jeanine van Kradenburg, Kapiti Food Fair 2009, PO Box 613, Paraparaumu 5254.
  • Stall bookings will not be confirmed until the completed Stall Booking Registration Form and the payment are received.
  • Regret no refunds to stallholders withdrawing from the event after the closing date for applications.
